PermeCO2 is an advanced instrument designed for measuring carbon dioxide permeability (CO2TR) through plastic films, monolayer or multilayer barrier films, metallized films with special surface coatings, laminates, or co-extrusions widely used in the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and electronics industries.
Its dual-beam non-dispersive infrared (IR) sensor, temperature-stabilized and pressure-compensated, enables precise, accurate, and repeatable measurements even in humid environments, distinguishing it from competitors. PermeCO2 allows material characterization under varying relative humidity conditions, ensuring utmost versatility.
Equipped with modular accessories, PermeCO2 can analyze PET bottles and various types of containers. The software’s intuitive and functional user interface empowers operators to work autonomously after just a few hours of training. Initiating a measurement requires setting key parameters such as temperature, relative humidity, and sample conditioning times.
Throughout the measurement process, the software maintains constant set conditions and automatically recognizes when the analysis is complete. Results are automatically saved both as graphical representations and data, facilitating seamless importation into other software tools.
The single-point cell closure system ensures effortless sample positioning without the need for any preparatory steps prior to analysis.
